The things that are reported and shared in the media these days sure have changed from what I remember in my lifetime. Every day on social media, news or any other form of media, we are reading/hearing/seeing stories that have some kind of negative spin on them.
It is no longer acceptable in the media to just accept things for the way they are. Everything must be changed to make everyone happy. It seems that opinions now a days must have a “right/wrong” twist to them.
It used to be if someone shared a different opinion on something that you just accepted the fact they had a different opinion and you moved on in your life. That is no longer the case today. Now if you share a differing opinion than someone else, you can and will be slandered by the opposing party.
Here are some of the things we are hearing about in the news today:
- The presidential election. On one side you have Donald Trump. The liberals would have you believe he is bad because he is an alleged misogynist, has a bad temper, evades paying taxes and is a racist. On the other side is Hillary Clinton. The conservatives will have you believe she is bad because she knowingly let an American ambassador and his staff die in Benghazi, had a private server full of over 30,000 emails, many of which were official government emails marked confidential and when questioned about them, deleted them and hid all traces of the emails. Is above the law, fixed the democratic nomination for president to eliminate Bernie Sanders from getting the nomination.
- Police killings of black men across the country. Many presumably innocent men are being killed by police.
- National anthem protests by athletes. Every weekend many athletes from professional to high school are kneeling for the nation anthem to protest the inequality of black people in the country by the police.
- Mass shootings in the United States perpetrated by both Islamic and Christian fundamentalists.
- Immigration of Muslims into the United States fleeing war torn countries they live in.
These are the things that you can hear about every single day in the media be it social media or mainstream media. No matter what side of what you hear about you choose to believe in, you’re wrong in the eyes of those in opposition.
However the media seems to slant to only one particular line of thinking and that is from the progressive/liberal side of things. It is a fact that most mainstream media is controlled by liberals and all news is slanted to their viewpoint. Yes you will find plenty of conservative outlets out there but one of the biggest forms of news comes from television which of the major networks, (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN) only 1 is openly directed at conservatives and that is FOX. It should be noted however that FOX is owned by Rupert Merdoch whom you’ll have to search pretty deep to find exactly what party affiliation he aligns himself with. He’s not an American, he’s Australian born from more democratic upbringings. But because he is a billionaire many times over, most will just assume he is a Republican. I guess the only way to know for sure is to ask him but who really tells the truth about things like politics anyway? Politics now a days is a synonym for “lies.”
My bottom line is people with that much wealth just cannot be trusted at all with the lives of us everyday folk. You have to ask yourself, “why is this country being run by wealthy people?” I don’t mean wealthy by they don’t have any debt but are the top 3%. If you’re not asking yourself this then you clearly either don’t give a shit about what is happening in government or maybe you’re oblivious.
My friends this country, and the world, is being run by the wealthiest people on the planet. The Bilderbergs. There is no denying it. Well yes there is denying it of course but when truth and evidence is laid out in plain site for you to see, it’s hard to not see things for the way they are.
Having said that the planet is being run by the wealthiest people let me point out something else. Have you noticed that most people associate themselves with like minded people? The phrase “Bird’s of a feather flock together” comes to mind here. It’s pretty common knowledge that you’d pretty much stick up and defend and associate with people that hold your opinions and interests at heart. So now ask yourself this: “Do billionaires really have MY best interests at heart or their own?”
At the beginning of this post I started with something in which I pointed out that in these times in our lives, having an opinion or feeling that differs from another will most likely label you as “wrong.” It’s much more in the open now that people are content with sticking to what you know, however it’s just not talked about in the media. The irony is I said it’s more in the open how people are more apt to stick with their “own kind,” and I’m not using that as a racial term, but when you do only associate with your own kind, you must be a racist, or a misogynist, or this or that.
I guess it’s just no longer acceptable to just be “ME.”
